Moss Bros

Moss was going through a period of change.  The marketing department was at the forefront of the revamp of the company’s image, brand and visual merchandising.  The head of the department believed that the team was capable of doing much more than it was, so approached us to put together a team-building package.

We first of all ran an away day at a venue away from the office.  Our carefully-designed package of events allowed members of the team to work together in new and interesting ways.  Through having fun together, we explored how they communicated with each other at work, how decisions were made and what the challenges they faced were.  The day concluded with the development of action plans for each individual and for the team as a whole, to improve the way they all worked together.

Six months on we ran a second similar event.  The team reported how much better the working relationships had been, and how much more effective they were at delivering what the business needed of them.  When we looked back to the actions they’d come up with at the first away day, not only had they been done, but they’d been done so regularly and well that they were part of the way the team operated.  New and effective habits had been formed.

This second meeting was more about developing team members’ skills and confidence.  We had training sessions on time management, and how to give and receive feedback in constructive ways.

The company has prospered through the recession, and is now successfully representing itself as the UK’s leading branded suit retailer.
