Chris Murray

Chris had been channelled into music at a young age and went on to study at the Royal College of Music.  Throughout her 20s she earned a living through a mixture of performing and teaching, but became increasingly dissatisfied with what she was doing as the years passed.

When she approached us for help, she was ready to give up music altogether and retrain to do something else.  She had felt she had an obligation to pursue music and had never really taken the decision to be a violinist for herself.

Over the course of three months we supported Chris to believe in herself again.  We enabled her to explore the deeper sides of who she really is, and what she truly wanted to do.  Through helping her to face resentments about music and how she came to it, we enabled Chris to realise that her passion really was the violin.  We helped her to find outlets, some of which were new, to express that passion in a way that brought her satisfaction and fulfilment.

As a result of our work together, Chris felt renewed in her musical career and has found ways to express her talents through performing, teaching and community projects.

Single at the time she came to us for coaching, she met the man who became her partner soon after Adam helped her to rediscover her passion for music.  Chris and her partner now live happily together in rural Surrey.
